They are something unique in this world. The vast majority of people will not, and never will know you. And people who do not know one another tend to be more cruel towards eachother. You can see this with the internet as an example. Being unknown tends to stir up dislike a lot stronger, sometimes even for the sheer amusement of it. I hate that.

Now a little story from my confused little mind:
I have a friend who is in some real trouble.
This is not the first time a friend of mine got into trouble, but I wonder if I am letting myself get too involved.
I mean, I like to help others. I really like to make people smile.
But should that be at the cost of my own sanity at times?
I probably sympathize a bit too strongly at times.
